I've Got Mad Love for Hermès

Fashionable Plus Size Clothing

Shouldn't even be called plus size clothing... Should be called real or typical women clothing that's not ugly as f**k.

Anyways, I love Marisota. Why? Because they're a one stop shop, clothing, accessories, lingerie, footwear and swim and athletic wear, and a BLOG. Check em out.

Curvy till I die ;) real fishys like it.

I love this basque!

Maybe not quite paying attention!

Candy Chang - Sidewalk Psychiatry

Do You Like Raspberries?

They're loaded with phytonutrients and flavonoids... They're even antimicrobial.

One of my favorite things to do... With a boy around of course. Killin two birds with one stone ;)

Kanye West & Rihanna at the MET Ball

I adore this picture of Rihanna and Kanye. Looks like they were havin lots of fun. And I want her tux, someone send it to me please.

Holy Matte Red Lipstick!

Matte Red lipstick, has been my one and only make-up obsession lately. I'm not big on make-up; but, go through phases were I will accentuate one thing... Went through a cream eyeshadow phase, blush phase, liquid cat eye liner... Anyway, this summer I'm lovin matte reds, in varied colors. I've yet to find a red-orange that works with my skin tone; but, I will not raise my white flag!

PS -- the pencil is sooo important with mattes, and I love her hair too.

I've Got the Blues

Not in a bad way.... I go through phases where I will wear practically the same thing everyday, then something shifts and I move on. Right now I'm loving, blue hydrangeas denim (PRPS, Current/Elliot, Marc by Marc Jacobs), nautical stripes, and my calf skin leopard flats. Kind of Americana with a twist. Red nails, my Tag Heur, Marc Jacobs Basil body splash, my Prada Messenger bag, and when I'm lounging in the house. My Oliver Peoples Ari frames, a 3 quarter length chaps nautical shirt, with honeydew ruffle boy shorts, they have little anchors on them and navy bow.

The moment I saw these PRPS jeans I was quite attached. I usually don't go for pre-distressed jeans; but, these felt different. They're handmade in Japan, the paint splatter won my over. I enjoy pairing them with a conservative J.Crew or Tory Burch top and funky shoes.

Even the buttons are rad!

I also have 3 pair of Current/Elliot jeans, thanks to the sample sale last friday! They were $50.00 each! Compared to $230.00 a pair (+ redonkulous CA sales tax) I figured 3 pair wouldn't hurt... Anyways, I got two pairs of the cropped boyfriend jeans, one distressed, one plain, and also a pair of the full length boyfriend jeans with distressing... The distressing is a bit contrived; but, they have more of a girly fit than my Men's PRPS jeans, so it's all good.

I picked up this denim shirt from a Japanese designer at the Melrose Flea Market. He's testing his designs on the LA Market... I have to go back and pick up some more pieces from him and try to pry more info from him. His assistant made me delete all the pictures I took I was totally sad. Adore the detail on this shirt. Oh and it was only $35.00. I'm sure when he releases his line the price will at least triple.

And my absolute favorite outfit right now...

How to Tie a Headscarf

Studded Nikes

I would soooo rock these vintage studded Nike High Tops with a little floral dress. Perfect for a Lakers game.

Behind Every Great Man

There's a great woman...

Cliche terms work my nerves a bit; but, this one always sticks for me.

Just think of super creative, brilliant, crazy nuts, like Francis Ford Coppola. His wife Eleanor Coppola has been puttin up with him since 1963. Imagine, the pain, laughter, rewards and creativity between the two of them. She's endured many long nights with no phone call, weeks away while she was probably could have really used him at home etc, I mean this is all in my head, but I think I'm callin this like Babe Ruth. I bet she's funny and sharp, he probably admires tht most about her. She looks pretty low maintenance too, and I don't mean that in a bad way, but I admire that in women. I think I am, some may argue that, I have my rituals, but I'm defintely a uniform girl (wear the same things all the time) and relish in my routines...

Anyways, I think it's funny that she's 4 years older than him and Irish American. Opposites attract, there, I used another cliche term.

Just for shits and giggles (there another one) here's the supposed origin of the behind every great man quote.

The first printed citation I can find is from the Texas newspaper The Port Arthur News, from February 1946. This was headed - "Meryll Frost - 'Most courageous athlete of 1945'":

"As he received his trophy, the plucky quarterback unfolded the story of how he 'came back'. He said 'They say behind every great man there's a woman. While I'm not a great man, there's a great woman behind me.'"
